Philippians 4:4-7

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the pease of God, which transcends all understanding, willl guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I sat down to do my quiet time, I flipped to 2 Peter to continue the reading of that book. I did it out of habit. As I prayed before reading, that the Lord prepare me to receive the food that He had for me, the Holy Spirit prompted me to another passage, namely Philippians.

Reading those familiar verses once again, a short sentence caught my eye and stirred something in me.

"The Lord is near."

Previously, I would always interpret it as the coming of the end days. But today, God used that verse to tell me something different. He spoke to my spirit.

He said, "Daughter, I am right beside you. I am with you everywhere you go. I am not just somewhere, or everywhere, or anywhere. But near you."

One word: Amazed. :)

Thank You Jesus for being close to me in every way. I know that You walk before me and guide me in my every step. Even as I push on for the last leg in my race as a student, I pray that I will rejoice in this situation and choose to present all my desires before You. Amen.
