Ok, so I've been a victim of road rage twice this week. And it has left me tramatized and saddened. After each incident, I kept asking 'Why??', why is it that I seems to always kena this kinda things. Is it because I'm a really bad driver?? Or coincidence?? Or what??

As I was driving home last night after the latest incident, I sensed the Lord tell me that it was all spiritual. That these are forms of attacks by the evil one to get me down and draw me away from God.

I was once again reminded of Pastor Khong's message the week before about how the devil always tries to find your weak points and use it against you to draw you away from God. In my case, it has always been about seeing/witnessing the ugly side of humanity. When my friends argued, when couples break up, when I see anger instead of grace. Each time the ugliness of Man or my ugliness is shown, I only remember how very fallen we are. And I choose to have such a pessimistic view of the entire situation, allowing myself to pull away from God as I feel unworthy and unlovable.

But God revealed to me that those thoughts I have/used to have are lies from the devil.

Rom 3:22-24 "22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

Though we are fallen sinners, Jesus' death on the cross has redeemed us and we have a rightful place in heaven, as sons and daughters of His. Amen. Thank you Lord!

Rom 1:28-32 "28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."

When we are not of God or close to Him, we are like animals, with dull minds and unclean hearts. That is the result of our sin. With this revelation from the Lord, I am come to accept that we are truly nothing without God. Only faith and the blood of the Lamb makes us righteous.

So Lord, remind me constantly that my righteousness comes from You and You alone. Keep my mind set on things above and deepen my relationship with You. Protect me from harm and use me to bring You glory. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Sit tight. Walk right. Stand & fight.
