When Pastor first started talking about the G12 conference, I kinda knew I would be in one of my busy periods. And I decided not to sign up for the conference. At the back of my mind, I was thinking "Well I've been for it last year and the year before that and even the year before that, so why go for it again?? It's all the same." Others might argue that there is one every year and since I'm gonna be very busy, why not give it a miss??
2 weeks ago, God convicted me of my need to go. Instead of wasting time rationalizing why I shouldnt go, I decided to sign up anyway and see what would happen.
Now during this very busy time of my life, I am excited actually about the conference. I sense the Lord wanting to do something different, something special.
While thinking about all I needed to do, nearing the verge of worrying about it, the Holy Spirit gave me a new perspective. He said, "Charissa, why not let this be a chance to see My grace and love for you manifested??"
Wow. To be reminded that my life on earth, though temporal, is of significance and importance to Him is an amazing thing. Instead of focusing on the negative, I want to set my eyes on the light and hope of my life, Jesus Christ.
Eph 1:18-19 "18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe."
