When I showed it to my uni friend, junney-poo, she said that the both of us look more like sisters in this particular picture. Wonder why is that so? Is it the sharp-ish chin, the chubby cheeks or simply the fringe??
People have akways commented on how my sister and I always don't look alike and about how different the two of us are. I'm suppose to be the more serious one and she's the fun-loving and friendlier one. She's the 'anything-oso-can' type while I am known to be very specific about what I want and when I want it. And because of the differences in our character, there are many instances of us having conflicting views on things, resulting in conflicts and arguments.
Yet Junne's comment got me reflecting and thinking. And I realized that while our exteriors are very different, we have similar values and methods of reasoning because of our upbringing. We both came from the same trees (aka our parents) after all.
So mei, want to take the chance to publicly announce to the entire world that I truly thank God for you. Though we have our differences and argue over silly things (like who's turn it is to shower or to do the dishes), I am glad that I have you as my sister. Thank you for listening to my nagging/complaints and for putting up with my rubbish. I know that you'll always be there for me no matter what, to support me and to tell me the blunt truth regarding the situation.
Pray that God will continue to mold us both to be more like Him and cause us to be even closer. May we grow in the Lord, serving and loving Him together. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen
