2 Cor: 16-18
"16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

It's been some time since I truly decided to read God's word just because I desired to. And as Pst Melyvn said on Sunday, the word of the Lord is His love letter to us. It breathes life into our bodies and rejuvenates. :)

Reading the verses above, I am reminded of the eternal, of what is important.

As I get older and (supposedly) more mature, I find that it seems easier to do without God. This is in the sense that I have the ability to think and decide, or at least I think I do. The world bombards me with messages saying that I am capable just because of my age. And because I am better able to control my emotions (or at least certain portions of it), keeping a distance from God doesnt seem to have such a disastrous effect as before.

Yet deep in my heart, I know of the void that exists. And I am thankful for Mama Wanting's prayer. Thankful that God used her to reassure me of His constant presence with me.

Sometimes, a pain in the heart/soul can be so great, causing us to lose sight of everything. When we choose to focus on that pain, we become slaves to that pain and we lose parts of ourselves. Only God can heal us of that pain and make us whole again.

So Lord, I pray at as I choose to walk towards You and beside You, that You will cradle my heart in Your hands. Cause my eyes to be focused on the eternal and give me the strength to rely on You. Thank You Lord. Amen.
