soooo.. I'm now officially 22 years old!

22 years wiser.. 22 years taller.. 22 years prettier.. 22 years crazier.. 22 years ????????..

In the days leading to this BIG day, I have been feeling kinda down and old.. I never really thought about turning 22, ever. I mean, 21 is a nice age with me becoming an adult legally. 22 on the other hand is a year of major uncertainties, a time when the wrinkles start to appear and the skin starts to sag (well, i might be exaggerating ever so slightly ;).)

But on a serious note, I think I'm greatly affected by the number 22 cos no one has ever told me what 22 is all about. Everyone knows about how carefree being 20 and younger is, people tell you to expect fun when turning 21 (esp with all the sweeeeetttt presents!) But no one talks about turning 22.

This is a year when I will be graduating from Uni. This is the year that I will starting life as an auditor (which many say is actually the end of your life, your social life that is). This is the year I have to shoulder more resposibilities and be a serious working adult.

Where did all the years of youth and freedom go?? It has passed with the blink of an eye. And all I am left with are years of being an adult, of pressure and disillusionment.

So thanks to everyone for your kind wishes and prayers. I must now put on my spectacles, take out my calculator, grease my brain and slap on some anti-wrinkle cream.

I am now 22.
