time of giving thanks

It's been a really nice time hanging out with katie and her family.. Her mom is a really sweet and giving lady. She cooked dinner tonight. We had chicken cutlet with pasta, salad and bread. It was delicious home cooked food. I love using her shower as well!! It's so big and clean, very unlike the ones I've been using recently.. Heehee..

So Katie's really sweet, she'll letting me sleep in her bed and all.. Her house is nice and cosy and welcoming. Very beautifully decorated in a country style. Kinda reminds me of home I guess.. Will take some pictures of the place. We went to the Wrenthem Premium Outlets today. Bought some presents and a winter jecket for myself. The weather is turning a nasty cold! Hope i'll be able to survive!! We'll be going to Katie's aunt's place for thanksgiving lunch and then to her dad's in maine for dinner.. It's gonna be exciting!!

Received an email telling me I've been shortlisted for an interview at Deloitte. Only 1 of the firms so far. I was very dissappointed that i did not get shortlisted at E&Y. As I asked God about it, He reassured me of His plans for me, that I need not worry about how other people are doing. He has everything settled in His hands. I am still learning to give thanks in all circumstances.

Sometimes it seems so easy to focus on the negative aspect of things. That is simply the devil's way of taking joy away from us.

So Lord, thank You for everything, for Your righteousness and glory. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your peace. Thank You for Your blessings. Please give me a thankful heart, one that is able to see goodness in all things. Amen.
