majorly twisted

So it's been a busy and fun-filled couple of days. Spent the whole of Wednesday sightseeing in Boston. We went to Quincy Market for lunch. The place is amazing. It's like any foodcourt back home, just that instead of having hor fun and ban mian, they sell pizza, sandwiches and all types of the local food. There were so many choices I had to walk up and down before I settled on having a lobster roll with a side of clam chowder. It was quite nice. We were blessed with really good weather that day (aka the sun was out shining and we didn't really need our jackets).

Really nice weather

We shopped around and then moved on towards Fenway Park. We kept walking and walking and walking. Passed Newbury Street where all the branded shops were and walked through the park. Very pretty and picturesque. Stopped for a nice iced tea and went for the tour through Fenway Park. Though I don't watch baseball or get the game at all, the place is just overwhelming to be at. It's so green and pretty. Heard a lot about the history of the place which I was a bit too tired to catch. Every time I look at the field, I keep remembering Hollywood movies which have been filmed here. Have to say the place looks bigger in the film.

We were all really tired

Headed back to campus after that and ate dinner. Helped my French friend, Helene move into her hall and made her bed for her. She gave me full marks for it. :) It was bingo night so all of us went to rest first and then reconvened at around 9. Didn't win anything though. Ah well.

Yesterday was an interesting day. Started out really nice with me meeting up with Michelle's Singaporean friend, Victoria. She has a daughter who is 2 years old, named Si En. Oh my goodness, that lil' girl has really big and bright eyes and she's dressed up like a doll. Very cute!! We ate Japanese food @ Porter's Square. I finally got to eat some decent rice. Ate curry (yes, you were right father..) and then went to walk around. It was great to have been able to speak singlish for at least a few hours. She gave me a lot of advice on what to buy when it gets cold and what vitamins to take and stuff, dropping me off @ Harvard Square. Spent the next few hours walking around the place, shopping. It's a nice relaxing time.

Went back to my room after that to take a nap. Still suffering from jetlag so felt really tired. Met up with my friends at the soccer field. The guys were playing and then went for dinner. It seems like all we do is just eat and eat around here as well. Then went to hang out with all of them at one of their suites. Talked and got to know more people on campus.

On my way back to my hall, I TWISTED MY ANKLE!!! Kept on walking and thought it would be alright. Woke up this morning to a swollen ankle. Had to hobble around my room to shower and get ready to go out. Astrid, a girl from Denmark was really sweet and walked over to 'escort' me there. She even helped me get breakfast!! I love her!! Went to see the doctor after that. According to her, it sounds pretty bad. Really thank God that it doesn't appear to be broken. Am wearing a brace and have been told to stay off it for the whole weekend. Don't know if I'll go out tomorrow with the rest of them though. We'll see.

My ankle in a brace, it isn't as bad as it looks

For now, I'm stuck in my room, watching youtube and alleviating my leg. Feel like a prisoner!! AHHHH. God, heal me in Jesus name and cover me with the blood of the lamb. Amen. Please keep me in prayer ya??

Sunday's mei's birthday. Will be skype-ing with my family and friends. Yay!! Looking forward to that. In the meantime, will concentrate on getting better.
TGIF!!

+ AMEN
