Talk about an eventful 2 days.. Remember how I said I wanted to sleep in on Thursday til noon? Well, it never came to pass. Why you may ask?? For those who don't know, MY LIL' SIS TOOK A MIGHTY TUMBLE DOWN THE STAIRS!!
Let me give you the full story blow by blow. It was 9 am Thurs morning. Was happily sleeping when I heard my sis telling my mom that she had puked. Snuggled in deeper under my covers when I heard a loud crash & my mom screaming. Jumped out of my bed (have to tell you guys I never jumped out faster!!) and went out to find my baby sis sprawled on the stairs crying, our vases toppled and a few wooden flowers broken. Helped her sit up and went back to bed, leaving it all to my mom. Then heard a loud, 'CHARISSA! CHARISSA! COME HELP!' My sis collapsed again and my mom couldn't get her up.
Raced out to carry her to my parents' bed. The whole time, she kept saying she couldn't see us and she didn't answer to our calls. Got her to lie down and after a while, she felt ok. Took her to see the doctor after. Apparently, it was all due to her having low blood pressure, hers was something like 90 over 56 (the naughty girl has been drinking too much tea and not getting enough sleep). She blacked out, fell down and couldn't see all cos the blood didn't reach her brain. She felt like fainting once again after lunch. Had to carry her to the car & home. Wanted to bring her to the hospital but my mom said to just bring her home to rest. Had to do some dictation for her at night (typed out her assignment as she talked as she was taking too long to do it, being injured and all.) Sacrificed my bed for her cos we sleep on a double-decker. All in the name of love!!
My goodness!! Wanted to kill her myself after she felt better. Was so freaked out and scared by the whole thing (Yes, I react in anger when I get shocked or scared, just as mama said). She's presently nursing a bruise/cut under her chin. Really have to thank God for protecting my mei2 during the whole thing. My dad was reasoning it out CSI style over dinner and we concluded that God's angels were there to catch my sis when she fell. If they weren't there, she would have probably rolled further down the stairs and suffer from worse injuries.
Thanks to all my brothers & sisters in Christ for your prayer and concern. You guys are awesome warriors!! When Vanessa woke up this morning, she didn't have any bruises and her aches & pains are slowly subsiding. Please do continue to pray that her bumps will go down and that the cut will heal nicely. Thankies.. :)
So then, Friday... Sent my sis to TP to hand in her assignment. Didn't want to leave her alone in case she didn't feel well again. Spent the afternoon with my dearest bestest friend, Jacinta. Bought her lunch and spent some quality time together. Took quite a number of photos (will only post the nice ones ok jac?? ;) ) It was a wonderful time between friends. Simply love it when we can be together, talk rubbish, and just be ourselves. Love ya girl!!
After dinner with the family, headed for Expo. Planet Shakers concert!! It was truly an awesome experience. The whole hall was turned into a party with the front rows of chairs cleared away and the lights flashing all over the place. Stayed at my seat to look after the bags as well as to make sure my sis was still standing.. :)
Have been to a few concerts before but this one is different. Why? Cos God's presence was very clearly there!! Was a beautiful sight, having a whole bunch of youths in front raising their hands, jumping, shouting, worshipping the King of kings. It was like a little piece of heaven, the rock section that is, with all our voices joined in praise & worship!! Can see from the band that God uses us and our talents in different ways to make His name known. Wanna do something big and dramatic for Him too!! Thank you Lord for the opportunity to worship You tonight. And thank You for touching me Holy Spirit. Being in Your presence is one of a kind.
Bought the band's new cd after the concert and as usual, our group bonded over food. Went to Laguna @ East Coast and guess who we saw? Planet Shakers!! Sitting at the table right in front of us. They went there to eat their beloved satay.. Haha. Sent my nieces, Vicki, Caroline, Bell and my sis Clara, to get their autographs. My first autographed album. They're really ordinary and humble people. Feel so lucky to have gotten to see them in person, especially since I won't be able to attend service on Sunday. A lil' pressie from my Lord I believe.. :)
Think I'll be going to sleep after this and waking up early tomorrow to pack my bag. Driving up to Malacca & KL. Should be fun. Shopping, eating and fellowshipping with my family. Please pray for journey mercy & a time of bonding & loving.. And dun worry guys, will be safe.. :) Blog again once I get back. Tata..
