Malacca/KL trip

I survived the drive!! Heehee, yes, am back from Malaysia. Have to say it was a good time with the family. God blessed us tremendously. Think it's the holiday where we disagreed/quarreled/displayed 'black' faces the least. The drive up and back was smooth. Didn't even feel tired and the hotel, totally not what I expected. It's a small hotel in the middle of Malacca with a nice lil' garden in the centre. There're so many trees, so tropical, so humid, so very unlike where I'm gonna be for the next few months.

Took it slow during the trip and headed to KL on Sunday for a day trip. Dad drove up & back cos both mom & him felt that going into and coming out from KL would be too chaotic and I would be too stressed. Ended up sleeping during the journey up, recharging my battery for shopping! :) Bought a number of things, mostly for my impending exchange. Got a wallet, 2 pairs of track pants (on discount from Ralph Lauren!!!), a jacket, 2 pillows and some towels. Thanks mom & dad for everything!! Don't know how I'll be carrying all that stuff half-way around the world by myself. Ahhhh!!!

Anyway, the food was really good the whole time. Ate so many things. Let me see, had seafood for dinner Sat nite, then had tim sum for lunch and peranakan food for dinner on sat, finally ate kenny rogers (I noe, totally weird to go all the way to Malacca to eat this, but yup, that's my family for you) for lunch on Monday before heading home. Managed to squeeze in a few rounds of bo bo cha cha and ice-cream in between meals. All-round satisfying trip.

Thank you Lord for blessing us with journey mercy, great fellowship, chances to display our love & affection for one another, as well as for Your presence throughout the whole time. Love you Father!!
