In slightly more than 12 hours, I'll be on SQ22 heading for Newark, where I will call Boston home for the next 4 months. Wow, time really flies. Can't believe I'm leaving tomorrow!!
Thanks to each and every one of you for your prayers and well wishes. Know that all of you are very busy and totally understand that you can't send me off tomorrow. For those who are going to see me off, please dun cry ok?? If I see someone cry, I'll start tearing too. Don't wanna go on the plane with puffy eyes. What if I end up sitting next to a shuai ge?? Heehee, just kidding. Want to leave on a happy note. :)
Managed to pack my stuff in yesterday. Shortened my essentials list and took out quite a bit of clothes, bags and shoes. So now am carrying 2 luggage which are approximately 3/4 full each. Am planning to not bring quite a bit of the things home and to fill it with new things!! Thank God for providing a contact, Victoria, through my G12 auntie Michelle. Kind of have a better idea of what to expect when I get there. And she said there's quite a bit of shopping one can do there. Yay!!!
Wonder what I'll do on the plane for 18 hours. Hope I'll be able to sleep a bit and watch some nice movies. Heard that it's quite spacious. Please pray for a good comfortable journey yar?? Thankies!!
Went to celebrate Vanessa's birthday ahead of time today (her actual day is 3rd Sep.) Initially planned to go to Melt's @ Oriental Hotel for lunch but went there only to find out that it was fully booked. Headed to the Bar & Billiard Room @ Raffles. God blessed us with a table (someone cancelled at the last min.) We feasted like crazy and kept taking pictures. My sis wore all my gifts to her (the crocs and an Abercrombie & Finch dress). Doesn't she look pretty??
Was a good time with my family. Think all of them are starting to miss me and vice versa. Being home sick would be the hardest part of the whole trip. But it'll be a chance to be more dependent on God. Below are some of the photos we took. ;)
So now, it's about the last minute stuff. If you are planning to come see me off, I'll be at the airport by 9 am. It's in T2 and I'll be flying on SQ22. Give me a call if you get lost or anything. Will be bringing my handphone after all. Do let me know if you plan on visiting the US, especially if you want to come to the East side. Will be your tour guide for a day or two (for the small fee of a free meal??)
